Healing isn’t instant. The issue or problem that brought you to counseling is one that often didn’t just happen overnight, so it may take weeks or months to find you have reached a place of healing. Often counseling involves bringing to the surface deeply held hurt or longstanding habits that have served as an unhealthy way to cope. Similar to cleaning out a wound, it may feel worse before it gets better. As you are honest with yourself, we will work together in an atmosphere of feeling safe and being known toward healing.
